The Black Warrior River is a wonderful and interesting place to row. We share the river with our fellow rowers in Alabama Crew and the Women's Collegiate Rowing program at The University of Alabama, as well as coal barges and tug boats, fishing boats, an occasional speed boat and sometimes the Bama Belle riverboat and yachts of football fans who come to dock at The Park at Manderson Landing. In the early hours that we row, wildlife such as Great Blue Herons and red foxes often make an appearance. Even with all this activity, we have plenty of room to row.
